Event information

There is no charge for this event for you and one guest, as it has been kindly sponsored by CABA (Chartered Accountant Benevolent Association). If you wish to bring additional guests, you are more than welcome for a small charge of £10 including VAT per extra guest.

This celebratory event will give you the opportunity to meet other 2019 newly qualifieds as well as find out what ICAEW East Midlands has to offer you.

Who can attend

Only exam qualified students who are not members, along with one guest and training partners receiving a personal invitation are eligible to book.

Disabled Access

Unfortunately due to the age of the building and the location of the room which is upstairs, wheelchair access is unavailable.

Newly qualifieds can bring one guest free of charge and up to an additional three at the cost of £8.33 + VAT per guest.

Training partners can also book at the cost of £8.33 + VAT. You should already have an ICAEW account so all you will need to do is log in using your usual log in details to complete your booking.

David Matthews JP BSc BFP CA, ICAEW Deputy President
David has been with KPMG since graduating from the London School of Economics in 1982. He qualified in 1985 and became a partner in 1996.

In addition to being a Council member since 2010, his work with ICAEW has included membership of the Professional Standards Board (2011-2012) and of the Technical Strategy Board (2012-2018), including as Chair (since 2013).

He is also a Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Justice of the Peace and a trustee of the Treloar Trust, and has recently retired as a trustee of the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts.
