Financial reporting treatment for general insurers is evolving, and these half-day workshops provide an opportunity to receive authoritative, targeted updates on UK GAAP, with a focus on the changes and their implications for general insurance.

UK GAAP is going through one of the most significant changes in its history. Mandatory since 2015, the new framework has replaced almost all previous standards. As part of this change the FRC issued FRS 103 Insurance Contracts in March 2014.

Our training courses are designed to be hands on and interactive, therefore we limit delegate places to a maximum of 18 to allow you to get the most out of your learning and training with us.

What you will learn:

• The new framework FRS 100 to 105
• Financial Instruments under FRS 102
• An overview of FRS 103

This course covers FRS 103 but it is worth noting that FRS 103 is rationalising the existing UK provision for insurance, rather than establishing new requirements. Therefore the course will cover the new UK GAAP requirements but will focus on those areas that are directly relevant to those working within GI.

Please note: this course will cover financial reporting changes/updates but will not be covering any changes to regulatory reporting and solvency II.
